Further to our conversations with HKSI/HKSF we have come to the following agreement:

# HKLCA Selection Process for ILCA Events

## Regular ILCA Events
•⁠  ⁠All ILCA events (except ILCA Worlds) use HKLCA ranking system
•⁠  ⁠Converting from annual ranking to rolling ranking as of Hebe Haven May 2025 (as announced after AGM)
•⁠  ⁠Based on best 3 results from last 5 regattas using high point system 
•⁠  ⁠Full rolling ranking will be implemented by Hong Kong Race Week 2026
•⁠  ⁠Qualifying regattas: Hebe, HKSI/HKSF Selection Regatta, ABC Southside, HKLCA Open & Nationals, Hong Kong Race Week

## World Championships
•⁠  ⁠ILCA 4 Worlds: Uses standard HKLCA ranking system (best 3/5)
•⁠  ⁠ILCA 6 & 7 (Youth, Senior, U21): Selection by HKSI coach
  - HKSI will select best sailors regardless of HKSI membership 
  - Selection criteria will be published as required by HKSF and SF & OC
  - Process will be reviewed at the next AGM 

## Requirements
•⁠  ⁠All participants must meet ILCA class residency requirements
•⁠  ⁠National team exceptions available through written application to HKLCA

## HKSI National team selection
•⁠  ⁠ILCA 4: Selection based on HKLCA ranking
•⁠  ⁠ILCA 6 and 29er: Selection based on dedicated Selection Regatta(s) (HKSF to announce)
