2027 HKLCA Ranking, ILCA Worlds and HKSI National Team Selection

Further to our conversations with HKSI/HKSF we have come to the following agreement:
HKLCA Selection Process for ILCA Events
Regular ILCA Events
- All ILCA events (except ILCA Worlds) use HKLCA ranking system
- Employing a rolling ranking
- Based on best 3 results from last 5 regattas using high point system
- Qualifying regattas: Hebe, HKSI/HKSF Selection Regatta, ABC Southside, HKLCA Open & Nationals, Hong Kong Race Week
World Championships
- ILCA 4 Worlds: Uses standard HKLCA ranking system (best 3/5) - the last regatta used will be 2027 HKRW.
- ILCA 6 & 7 (Youth, Senior, U21): Selection by HKSI coach
- HKSI will select best sailors regardless of HKSI membership
- Selection criteria will be published as required by HKSF and SF & OC
- Process will be reviewed at the next AGM
Requirements
- All participants must meet ILCA class residency requirements
- National team exceptions available through written application to HKLCA
